My musical electronics started years ago when I tried to hook up a big muff to a crybaby wa wa so they would both come on at the same time. After the local CB shop failed in their attempts I decided to find out how I could do it.

Here I am 25 or so years later with a career in electronics. Like anything else in life if you want it bad enough you will find ways to make it happen. After reading everything I could get my hands on I enrolled in the local college to study electronics and electricity theory. My poor teachers used to turn and walk the other way when they saw me coming. They were up on their math but not on giving advice on how to hot rod a Marshall. LOL

In over 25 years as a musical instrument bench tech, I’ve worked for major musical manufacturers like Fender, Kurzweil, Yamaha Master Service Center as well as run my own shop. I’ve been warranty repair for just about any company out there concerning music gear.

I also have a strong background in digital electronics. I attended one of the first DX7 seminars given for techs by Yamaha. At the time this was a major turning point in the digital world of keyboards.

These days I mainly work for long time customers and teach aspiring techs the ropes in getting started.
